Karen T. Taylor is a portrait artist who attended the School of Fine Arts at the University of Texas and the Chelsea School of Fine Art in London, where she was also a freelance portrait sculptor for Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.
She worked as a forensic artist for over eighteen years at the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin, Texas. As a forensic artist, Karen's work aided investigators in apprehending numerous criminal offenders, as well as identifying many unknown deceased persons. Karen worked on Fox Television's America's Most Wanted and has been featured on ABC, CBS, BBC, CNN, and Court TV, to name a few.
Karen is the author of Forensic Art and Illustration, which is the most
comprehensive text book written on the subject. This is the first book to
provide complete coverage of all aspects of the field and includes much
previously unavailable information. A practical guide, it is ideal for
